I stayed here 3 nights. I did get my room right away when I arrived, I had a morning flight so this was wery nice that I got the room so early allready. I did get the place where I could work. Hotel room was clean and there was everything what I needed, nothing special but everything was like it should be. The view from window (was possible to open entirely) was amazing, river/lake and mountains. I loved it! Location for the hotel was great and it was easy to walk almoust anywhere at the city. There was also a lot of cafeterias and bakeries really close so at least I didn't miss a hotel breakfast what didn't include to my room price. Staff at the hotel was nice so no complaints about that. Remember that in Geneva your room price includes free ticket to the public transpotation. Remember to ask it from reception. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

We chose this hotel specifically because it had parking. When we arrived we were told there were no more spaces left for big cars. So we asked what we should do (because we had a car!). The receptionist (Cahil) advised us we should just park ILLEGALLY outside the hotel and get a ticket And pay it. We explained we were not happy with this as 1. It is illegal parking and 2. it was a hire car so the ticket would not come to us directly and we would likely get a big penalty. So we said we needed a different solution. We were appalled when he then just SHRUGGED HIS SHOULDERS and literally said “NOT MY PROBLEM”. Despite us choosing this hotel as it advertises parking. And we did not know the area. Eventually a doorman from a DIFFERENT hotel who saw we were struggling explained how the street parking and meters worked. But we wasted over 1 hour trying to sort this out. And we only had one night in Geneva. It’s a shame our receptionist CAHIL was too lazy to help and clearly just did not care is it was “NOT HIS PROBLEM”. Please DO NOT STAY HERE. Despite the location being ok there should be consequences for this complete lack of customer service or care. Oh and there were 4 pairs of someone else pants in our wardrobe so I’m not sure it was cleaned! But we were still more upset about the parking than this!

Cons * Hot breakfast was not really hot * Central heating didn't work * No parking near by * Rude breakfast lady who will get angry if you order coffee at breakfast and leave it unfinished. I was angrily approached for ordering coffee and not finishing it as there were "other people who also want coffee." She was angry for needing to discard leftover coffee. I asked the manager if they were suffering a shortage of coffee and why I was being spoken to aggressively for breakfast I had paid for. The manager confirmed the hotel did have enough coffee for all guests. The manager apologised for the person and I was informed the matter would be addressed with them. Pros *Good central location, train station nearby *Clean room, good size *Good selection of food at breakfast

Every single person I interacted with at The Ambassador could not have been more polite, kind and helpful. The hotel is beautiful, the location fantastic, the rooms are impeccable, and the meals are lovely, but those who work here are what makes this hotel really memorable. Thank you, The Ambassador, for making my time in Geneva that much better!

My "home away from home" in Geneva. Helpful, competent staff (particularly as I had to amend my reservation several times). Room is pleasant and always spotless with comfortable beds and amenities (including a mini-fridge). The furnishings and unique paintings and other art in the hallways make this place special. The free expresso machine and fruit in the lobby are much better than the $12 coffee from a certain place across the street. I appreciate the quiet, low-key vibe. A short walk/tram ride from the UN and in a very beautful part of town, just next to the river, within easy walking distance of two grocery stores and the main shopping and historical areas.
